For Sale FK Springs (Front/Rear) 2005 Z4 3.0

A complete set of FK springs that have just come off my 2005 Z4 3.0 with m-tech (m-sport) suspension. I believe the springs have been on there about 6 months max (according to last owner) so plenty of life in them. I have also enclosed a picture of what the car looked like on them so that you can see the difference.

Looking for £25 and collection only (Crowthorne - RG45 6QR) unless you can arrange a courier. They are boxed in the boxes the new springs came in.

Reason for sale is that I have recently purchased the car and put it back to stock.

Collection only from Crowthorne (RG45 6QR) unless you can arrange your own courier as they are heavy.

what size engine is the car they came off? (i believe a 2.0 like mine has different springs as the car is lighter than the 6 cylinder engines)

i really want some new springs but seems like a mine field as mines a 2.0 and all the 3.0 springs wont sit right as my car is too light so will actually sit higher on them :(

im tempted to buy these but not sure how my 2.0 would sit on them. do you know what drop they offer compared to m sport springs?

Jingle i think i've told you before, the springs account for the extra engine weight of a 6 pot, putting them on the 4 pot will just put you in the position you are now, with it sitting in the clouds.

yes u have haha! im just curious as to what ride height drop the Fk springs offer compared to the m sport springs (if on the correct car) as im not sure how low i want to go overall still

Ahh fair enough. Still think they'll sit higher than your current set up due to the extra weight of the engine the springs are designed for

OK, now I'm even more confused, i have emailed Eibach (no reply) FK (no reply) and H&R and have had a reply from H&R about lowering springs for the E85..... i asked if they could confirm which part number i needed for a "2.0" as it was lighter than the "3.0" and i have read online that the weight difference will affect the ride height (makes complete sense in my head, so im not disagreeing with anybody on here)

but this was there reply..... stating that all engine sizes use the same springs (except the 3.2 Z4M)

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your e-mail.

For the Z4 type Z85 (E85+E86) Roadster and Coupé we have the following spring set.
Part number is 29269-1, lowering is approx. 35mm (less lowering in case the car has the M-suspension).
This is the only set for these cars and are tested and approved for all engine types.
These springs are on the worldwide market for meanwhile 12 years without any problems or claims when
it comes to lowering.
What has to be kept in mind is that the finla lowering of our springs is only reached after approx. 800-1000km
of drive so the lowering might be a bit less right after installation as the springs have to settle first.
Therefor the height measurements should be taken in OE condition, right after lowering and again after 1000km
of driving. The height measurement is taken on all 4 wheels from the middle of the wheel straight up to the
edge of the fender.

The M-Roadster and M-Coupé uses different springs as well as the following version of the Z4 (Z89 , E89).

In the UK you can order all our parts at Euro Car Parts and all their branches, http://www.eurocarparts.com.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / best regards
