Hi guys it is a heart wrenching post this as I am selling my superb 2009 Z4 35i E89 which has been the best car I have ever owned but the problem is the car isn't being used enough so I would love it if it went to someone on the forum who would enjoy this brilliant car as we had an extension built and that restricted us using it and now I think we are going to get the kitchen extended so the car needs to go.

It is a 2009 Z4 35i in metallic black with red leather seats which in my opinion gives the car a really sporty look. It also has the following specification

DCT automatic gearbox
Heated leather seats
idrive system which includes sat nav
Extended lighting
19 inch alloys

The car has just passed its MOT so it expires on the 25th of January 2017 there were no advisories
It has just had the two rear suspension springs replaced as one had snapped which is fairly common on BMW's and BMW advise that both should be replaced and that has been done by Cooper BMW in York which is the main dealer, this was done under their superb warranty.

It has also just had both rear lights replaced as one had water ingress which was a common problem on earlier cars this was again done by Cooper BMW under warranty.

I had the sills repainted by BMW as they had a bit of road rash on them and it bugged me so now they are perfect.

The car has a full service history it was serviced as follows
21-7-2011
then on the 15-8-2013
and only recently it was serviced on the 10-8-2015 this was the main big service and the brake fluid was changed as well.

The car doesn't need a service or brake fluid change until August 2017 so this car needs nothing doing to it at all.

Condition wise it is an immaculate example the bodywork is superb and mark free
The alloys are also in superb condition and are spotless
The interior is like new and the seats are like new as well
This car has been so well looked after and is just stunning
It has only done 26,337 miles so is a very low mileage example
It drives amazingly well and with 306bhp on tap it goes like a rocket if required.
The car is based in York and in my opinion you will not find a better example of a 35i
I am happy to pick any potential buyer up from York train station if that helps anyone.

Price is £17,250 Reduced to £16,950

Sounds a lovely car, clearly well looked after. You will remember it fondly sitting in the extension, having a drink thinking "I did the right thing, I did the right thing...." Home will go up in value, you can always pick up another car in time. Or you could get an older E85, spending half your money but getting a car that's near enough as good as yours?

Good luck with the sale and the home extension.....

Thanks Helen I know it's the right thing to do I did have a lovely E85 3.0si but for me it was nowhere near as good as this E89 I have, the E89 is just the perfect car.

Am sure someone put a wanted ad for a 35is this weekend see if I can find it

Hi Mark

I have been in contact with Dan re the 35is but my colour combo isn't what he is after, it is a shame as he also lives in York so he wouldn't have to travel far to see mine but thanks for trying :)

Nice motor & looks terrific value , love the 296s on 89s

Thanks for that Andy I appreciate your opinion as I know you are well up on prices :) The 296 wheels are my favourite on the Z, my car really is totally immaculate inside and out and whoever buys it will be getting a stunning low mileage example of a fantastic car and I will miss this car terribly.

Hi Andy, long time mate,

Sorry to hear you're selling, I remember how chuffed you we're when you picked this up and no wonder it looks a peach, I doubt it'll be around for long.

There will be others when the time is right.

Hope you stick on the forum and best of luck selling.

Thanks mate  I am really sad as it needs nothing spending on it now and it is in amazing condition but I feel it's the right thing to do as my wife Linda works from home and only uses her Toyota IQ once a week or so which means with the Z4 there are two cars hardly being used as I drive a company car, the IQ battery went flat the other day so what we have done is traded the IQ in for a totally superb Skoda Yeti Outdoor Elegance which is top of the range in the petrol, it has a 1.2 petrol engine with a fantastic DSG gearbox and I have to tell you it is such a great car to drive and the quality is easily as good as my company Audi A3 so with the Z4 sold it means we will both use the Yeti as we will be doing more walking and off road biking and the Yeti is perfect for that.

The weather is getting much milder now so it's a great time to buy this superb Z4
An even better time to keep it.
Looks a very nice car so someone in York is going to be a very happy bunny

Thanks Nanu and as much as I would love to keep it I just can't but as you say someone in York will be very happy as it's a stunner all I need to do is find someone in York

Couple questions.

1. How many owners?
2. Have the 296 ever shown any sign of cracks or been replaced by BMW?
3. Have you taken out the extended warranty with BMW?

Hi Jonny

The car has 4 previous owners one of which was Soper BMW Lincoln where I bought it from but these cars often have a few owners due to what they are as some people get them as a weekend car like myself.

The 296 wheels are absolutely perfect and have never shown any signs of cracking and haven't been replaced.

The car does have the BMW extended warranty on it which expires on Feb the 10th or 12th

This car is totally stunning and I promise that you won't find a better one.
