I had this fitted to my last car with an Alpine Headunit. I bought it about 3 years ago and it was just fitted in that car, hidden behind the dash.

It has a few scuffs on it from installation, and also 3 strips of velcro in the back from the last install which I will leave on anyway.

This is perfect for anyone looking to install the Intravee kit into their Z4.

I kept it initially because I was planning on getting the Intravee system. But I can't see that happening now to be honest after looking at the hassle of installing. I don't want to take out any centre pieces or have to replace the housing for the CD changer Etc.

Heres a pic... IMG_3024.jpg

It comes with both of the leads obviously.

Its such an easy install it seems a shame if you're not selling the car. If I was to have another go, I'd get this and an Intravee usable in 15mins from scratch, and mine has a battery cover to remove first !

To be honest I'd love my Ipod working in my car. But when I had a look on the forum the how-to explaining how to install the intravee had all of the photos missing. I think I will keep an eye out for a cheap Intravee kit. Is it the Intravee II that I would need?

yep.. it really is easy too. for me the only difficult bit is permanently attaching it, like velcro strips or whatever to the firewall.

u can reach in behind the carpet to a hole in the middle, where you fish around for the cd changer cable. if it's installed already you'll have to unplug it from the back, then just plus those two wires into the intravee, the alpine into that and the ipod into the alpine.

I'm slightly assuming I guess you don't need to remove the CD Changer to plug in the intravee, just remove its' cables.. but i think thats true.

It's sweet when you use it too

Ondie I've only just realised but I recieved a PM from another member on the 23rd September. (Raify).

As its first come first served, I will have to offer it to him first. Sorry about that but I havent been on here for a while.

If it turns out he doesn't want it anymore then I will get in touch :)
