FOR SALE AERO SKIRTS (SOLD)

Surprised these haven't gone too, but as TomScott said, by the time you factor in the price for collecting them, they're only marginally cheaper than dealer prices, with no comeback if you find any issues with them etc.

I got a price from the dealer today and they said £289.03 for the pair in primer..

I asked them to check that they where definately the aero skirts and he said "yep, the ones that slightly flair out"..

Im gonna double check tommorrow on part numbers..

Anyone have part number off the top of their head before i start to trawl Realoem ?

This raises an interesting question. If you own something desirable, which is brand new, and you try to sell, how much is it worth against what the OEM would sell it for?

I remember somebody trying to sell some CSLs, brand new still in protective wrapping, for effectively 98% of the BMW supplied costs and really struggling.

I'd have no problem buying new items "2nd hand", but would expect some sort of discount over the manufacturer prices due to the potential risks that id be accepting.

I'd have thought that 80% of the original price would be a good marker, any higher and I'd be tempted to merely wait and get it from the OEM and have the protection that comes with that.

Have a look at your car Terry

They are very long - and bulkier than you'd expect. You could get the ends in the footwell and then have them secured between the roll bars I guess, but I'd not like to drive far like that. Or at any speed.

Bing... Wasn't thinking!! Doh!

Well then for £20…

Especially as the trip is a 610 mile round trip for me and would probs need to hire a van as I only have the Z and a cooper S neither would fit lol. So add another £200 at least lol

Would it be worth trying to initiate a group buy for 5+ or 10+ If a significant discount is available and there is enough interest?

Worth a go, but I tried before and not enough interest was generated to enable a discount

The aero skirts are very expensive for two bits of plastic and so very much a man maths, spontaneous purchase - think about it and you will never buy them...
