Could I have views on my for sale post? Maybe I’m being impatient or optimistic but I would appreciate any constructive views.

Can’t see much wrong with the advert.
If I was being really critical, I would probably have had a smart repair on the scuff.
People are fickle, and little thinks put them off.
Jmo, but looks a lot of car for the money.
I’m sure it will sell, just need that one person.

As you say just needs that one person.

Is it advertised elsewhere ? Digging through the ad / pics for the ask i can see a great car for someone , you just need to connect with that someone .
I'm not a fan of driveway pics , they are quality i admit but id suggest a better location & id trim the description back to whats relevant to a potential buyer

Ive trimmed your text below for eg / happy to delete any or all of this post

You should have been a car sales man Mr Wilks, that reads a lot better. I do have it advertised on Pistonheads & Ebay, hopefully that correct someone will be around shortly :)

Well i have sold one or two

Very few (if any) used cars are sold in factory showroom condition so to a certain extent most realistic buyers will be looking for a honest car , well kept & from a discerning owner .
Its not about hiding the negatives but listing them from the off is not going to draw the potential buyer to your car , probably the opposite .
In truth the car looks terrific value for someone wanting the twin turbo roadster experience with very little spend by way of service , brakes , tyres .
Far better to have a scuff sorted on your driveway for £100 than a set of discs at £400 or a set of tyres at£500

fwiw i would have the scuff sorted as i think you could spend £100/£150 & avoid getting knocked £300/£350 ??

Best of luck

I agree with Mr Wilks regarding the text, keep it concise. Sort the scuff and maybe even source a replacement centre console trim piece as it will cost you less to fix than what will be haggled off the price.

The advert looks great and it's the sort of car I would buy if in the market. I don't think the forum classifieds section is going to give you enough exposure though. Stick another £500 on the price, get the minor scuffs sorted and stick it on Autotrader.

If only there were some Z4s for sale down here - its a desert for car sales in the SW ...

also in the south west and you have to be prepared to travel.
train ride up, then if all good, a run home in your new car to get used to it.
i went to london for mine as nothing suitable close by.
but the drive back once clear of london was great. :)

For the US this would be a bargain, I paid $2K more for my somewhat higher mileage one.
Never mind, when Trump bans all foreign cars coming into the country things will be so much cheaper 😄

Sure, but I really need to be sure I am comfortable driving a Z4 before travelling the country in search of one.
They are a bit challenged for space after all.
Looks like I will try a local main dealer to try and find one to at least try.

have you actually tried

have you actually driven one before? you need to know you want that model before you travel long distances. There's a few around exeter/yeovil/torquay at the moment which you could at least go and see, even if its not the precise model you wanted..

your welcome to pop down to exeter and will let you have a look and sit in etc
when i was looking , none of my local dealers had them, and said they get one now and again, but tend to go very quickly.

I agree, you need to be sure of what you want, you will then need to be prepared to travel, I once traveled 350 miles to collect a car.
You don’t get nothing out if you don’t put nothing in😎

Apologies for using this thread - although it is about another 35is which is shortly to come up for sale - [ref]Marlon[/ref], would you be able to PM me regarding my brother Glyn who was a long-time member of this board and I think may have known some of the moderators? Posts from him and pics of his car are here: https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=86212&start=20 Many thanks in advance, Joel.

Hi, you can’t pm until you’ve made 3 posts (i think?) make a few more posts & you should be ok
