lovely set of wheels.
my only question , and I will happily stand corrected, but what age are the tyres?

Hallo - thank you! Previous owner took extremely good care of them, and the car...

I just checked the sidewall for the dates - 2806 (28th week of 2006). Perhaps a little old now, admittedly...

As I said, there a cracking set of wheels, and I feel sure you will get a lot of interest, but I had to ask the question, as others will .
As has been stated many times, there a sort after wheel, and are worth whatever someone is prepared to pay.
glws.

Those tyres are as good as scrap now, so you're asking someone to cough up £1200 for the alloys alone :|

Lovely alloys, but over priced with 12 year old tyres.

Noted, it's a good point; so have revised the price accordingly. Now seeking £200 less.

these were 600 notes for brand new ones from germany were they not? they were ones bmw had rejected because of supposed dust in the paint but nobody could see this dust. i know direct from bmw they are a lot more but 1000 notes for second hand ones which are old is a bit spicy tbh

I am no expert on the precise value considering how rarely a full set come up for sale, but thought it wise to offer them here to the forum before going down the route of eBay, the great price leveller.

Thanks for your comment though and I am now going to start using 'notes' to describe pounds. I like the way it sounds. (-:

They're worth what someone's willing to pay TBH. If nobody's messaged you with offers I'd just ebay them. You can get individual wheels on there for £200 each so you might get lucky and get £600+
I paid £400 last year for a set with one scratch on if that helps!

They were that price...when they were last available...over 2 years ago.

Now that there aren’t any available from that company, your only other option for new ones is the £1400 or so that BMW are asking.

Although I do agree that the old (and crap when new) tyres aren’t helping - maybe separate them if you’ve got the facility to do so....obviously after giving them a bit of time to sell as is

There was a big hoo-haa a couple of months ago someone trying to sell a set with 9 year old tyres for £750. They did sell eventually I think so maybe around that mark might be about right

FYI

I bought a fresh painted set of 224's inc of brand new budget tyre's early last year for £500 on ebay.

I then sold my scratched up 224's and used tyres on Ebay for £350

Sounds like you got lucky then! I haven't seen a set on eBay for a few months, but perhaps I haven't been searching hard enough...

Am hoping somebody would like mine. Regardless of the pound notes, my OH will be head-hunting if I don't shift them soon! ;D

Hi, around £500 has always been the going rate for 224's

Agreed. £600 is a good price and maybe I’d take you up on it but already have a set of 224’s I’m waiting to put on the Zed! Still tempting! :P
