On the issue of removing the private plates V5's etc. I went to the local agency on a Monday, Shrewsbury in my case. Swapped the plates over, had V5, MOT, Tax Disk back on the Friday. Not sure if it's the same if your putting it on retention but would imagine it's less work than swapping from one vehicle to another.

Maybe I was lucky but well worth a trip to your local DVLA.

Lovely motor by the way :driving:

Russ

I drove to Brighton DVLA (pig to park), did all the paperwork etc. but it still took weeks before I got the paperwork back.

If I had the extra cash, I'd happily swap mine over for yours. Beautiful car. Hope you get a sale soon.

If the steering wheel was on the other side I'll purchase it in a heartbeat for my European wheels. Hate renting VW when I land in Frankfurt :)

Lovely motor, I like the pic of the engine under the bonnet very effective (it took me a moment to work out how you did it),

Good luck it deserves to make it's money.

Thanks, it's SORN'd for now until spring, will put a new MOT and service at the end of Dec and actively push to sell in the spring.

Update

Inspection One, Brake Fluid Cahnge & MOT carried out at the end of December 2010.

Car was taxed for first run out at end of February.

Many people have already started looking for roadsters/convertibles. Your car can go very soon.

Hi there. Lovely paint work have you had it detailed?
Regards Ian

Just seen you post.

Nope, it's all done by me :D

Don't trust anybody else, even the dealer isn't allowed to wash it.

OK, will accept £12k bottom line no offers. I'm not desperate to sell so if it goes it goes. :idunno:

16 on BMW AUC site, cheapest £12,995 which is older and with less spec.

Steve - im amazed how much the market has changed.
Less than a year ago you was looking for around 17k which means you coould have easly sold for 15k
Now your willing to accept 12k - sure you are not cutting yourself short? 13k perhaps given the cars condition and mileage?

Jamie

That a hell of a drop in a year for a very nice car.

I`m starting to actually be grateful I went down the PCP route as the car is never going to be worth anywhere near £10k final value in 2 years (£12.5k on WBAC right now) so I will just hand it back.

Good luck with the sale.

Not available for sale anymore? Sure you will still sell it privately if someone offers more than the trade-in value.
