I find Admiral on a multi-car policy are pretty reasonable. Mine is around £260 p.a. for an old bugger (I'm 50+).

I think mine is about the same. Basically I can Tax and insure the Alpina for the price of just the Tax on an //M

PerryGunn said:Wow, why do you both pay so much- this year's renewal on the Alpina was £160-ish (fully comp, protected no-claims, £250 excess)
I now insure for an estimated 3,000 p/a - although I don't get anywhere near that... - I was on 6,000 p/a last year and insurance was still only £175Number5 said:PerryGunn said:Wow, why do you both pay so much- this year's renewal on the Alpina was £160-ish (fully comp, protected no-claims, £250 excess)
We've actually insured our's to go on the road Perry, ....not just in the garage !![]()
6,000 mile allowance per year on mine. I expect yours is way under 3,000 is it ?

Nah, it's probably 'cos I'm now considered old but not quite at the doddery stage... :wink:Number5 said:Ok - I'll concede. Markeg and I live in rough, high crime areas, not a posh part of West Sussex !PerryGunn said:I now insure for an estimated 3,000 p/a - although I don't get anywhere near that... - I was on 6,000 p/a last year and insurance was still only £175Number5 said:We've actually insured our's to go on the road Perry, ....not just in the garage !![]()

...although I think the biggest reduction in premium comes from the fact that I don't have 'commuting' on the Alpina policy
Admiral as part of a multi-car policy - 3 cars, 2 driversmarkeg said:PerryGunn said:Nah, it's probably 'cos I'm now considered old but not quite at the doddery stage... :wink:Number5 said:Ok - I'll concede. Markeg and I live in rough, high crime areas, not a posh part of West Sussex !![]()

 Mine isn't bad, but is also on a 15,000 miles p.a. policy. Must be all those ditches, dykes and lack of hills that's loading the policy. That, and allowing the wife to drive it (as she's quite a bit younger than me. Or so she insists...)
Who's your policy with, Perry?
