For sale: 2004 Alpina Roadster 3.4S Lux

I agree, Taz needs to expand his Z4 fleet a bit more.

I still want one of these at some point.

OP, GLWTS - just surprised to see Alpina made something with a manual gearbox!

Come on mr wilks, you haven't had one of these yet have you?

No.8 on the way?

That's an amazing looking car. Ive always wanted one of these I just never seem to get a reasonable insurance quote.

I find Admiral on a multi-car policy are pretty reasonable. Mine is around £260 p.a. for an old bugger (I'm 50+).

I think mine is about the same. Basically I can Tax and insure the Alpina for the price of just the Tax on an //M

I can never really understand it. I use the big compare sites but always get quotes of £600+. I've had an M roadster which was less and my mk3 Focus RS was only £450. Its strange - a few years back I almost bought one from the BMW dealership near me but back then (I was under 25) the insurance was almost £1k. Ended up buying a 335I which was £500 to insure.

Wow, why do you both pay so much :P - this year's renewal on the Alpina was £160-ish (fully comp, protected no-claims, £250 excess)

We've actually insured our's to go on the road Perry, ....not just in the garage ! :poke:
6,000 mile allowance per year on mine. I expect yours is way under 3,000 is it ?

I now insure for an estimated 3,000 p/a - although I don't get anywhere near that... - I was on 6,000 p/a last year and insurance was still only £175

Ok - I'll concede. Markeg and I live in rough, high crime areas, not a posh part of West Sussex !

Nah, it's probably 'cos I'm now considered old but not quite at the doddery stage...

...although I think the biggest reduction in premium comes from the fact that I don't have 'commuting' on the Alpina policy

 Mine isn't bad, but is also on a 15,000 miles p.a. policy. Must be all those ditches, dykes and lack of hills that's loading the policy. That, and allowing the wife to drive it (as she's quite a bit younger than me. Or so she insists...)

Who's your policy with, Perry?
