2 X BRIDGESTONE POTENZA RUNFLAT TYRES 225/45/R17 91W

2 OF MY TYRES WERE SLIGHTLY ILLEGAL AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. DECIDED TO FIT 4 NEW STANDARD TYRES AT A COST OF £310.
NEED TO GET A BIT OF MONEY BACK
2 GOOD TYRES - ONLY DONE 21,000 MILES ON MY Z4 - 6MM TREAD ON THEM BOTH

I replaced them with a full set of Federals. Best thing I have done with the car. It handles so much better and doesn't tram line like it used to.
I had the same trouble a few years ago with my Mini Cooper S. I had to ditch the run flats cause they were too dear to replace, cheaper to buy a full set of 4 standard tyres rather than buy 2 new run flats.
Problem is that you can't mix run flats and standard tyres, so you either stay with what you have or bite the bullet and fork out for a set of 4 new standard ones.
Apparently BMW states you should not have a run flat tyre repaired if you get a puncture. Why fit them then? Crap ride with them on and when you get a puncture you can't have it repaired, so you have to pay out £164-00 for a new one.
Give me a set of "normal" tyres and a spare wheel anyday.

I was shouting cause I had the roof down yesterday and got a cold and my ears are blocked up......
