For Originality Lovers !

Just polished my zed prior to being SORN'd for winter months - was thinking about changing it for an Audi TT but once again realise how good the zed looks - any consideration for selling is now firmly put on the backburner !

Took some pics and thought I would share them with you - I am an originality lover and my car is all original coachwork complete with whippy . Spec includes Prof Nav ,Bluetooth , M seats , Zenons . under the bonnet has never been steamcleaned just elbow grease to keep it looking good ! Only the wheels have been fully refurbed . It also has an OEM wind deflector stored in the boot !

Bearing in mind the car is 11 years old it looks pretty good - and it's got a 3.0 litre engine :D

Great pics of a lovely looking car. I am surprised that you can bear not to drive it in the winter!

nice low miler there mate

I also am a big fan of the Zed in its standard guise. the only thing asthetically i have changed is the stubby ariel as i think the standard one looks a bit like a RC car ariel!

Ive always been into lowering my old cars on coilovers, but think the zed is quite a performance car out the box so wouldn't want to mess with what bmw decided originally. Used to having e46 330ci's which are two or three grand, however my 08 plate coupe was quite a bit more so dont want to mess with it :)

I'm currently having my MV2s powdercoated in silver - looking forward to it looking its best again :)

I'm a fan, unmolested originals are probably a minority now, whippies, French fries, ginger bits, proper lights and pre 'lift bumpers will soon become sought after.... not so sure about the biscuit crumbs

Lovely car gov.
Just need that faded drivers seat dyed and polished.
Big fan of originality here too. Mine is like yours Other than the steering wheel and gear knob recovered by Royals.

Very nice example mine is near standard as I bought her just some custom made boot and floor mats and got rid of that lethal ariel (nearly poked my eye out first time I washed the car ) for a stubby

Must be the " angle of the dangle " or the lighting - the seats are both dark and unfaded - can't say as much for the biscuit crumbs !

At my age that's it a lot of Dangle

Lovely looking z  I love originality but I also love modding cars so I have modded my Z but only useing oem parts, it's not easy though as I have learnt from exsperiance as the car gets older certain oem parts get very rare and already certain Z4 parts are becoming difficult to get hold off.
I only bought the Z4 as I had just completed my long term project a MK 1 Audi TT a car I have always wanted and now fully refurbished will be a keeper 8) Looks like though I may need to make room for the Z4 as the more I work on it the more I'm falling in love with it!

Very nice. I wonder if that odometer will tick over 30k next year.

JE would be creaming himself if he had a car with such low mileage.

I like the original classic Zeds - great lookers ( I do like the ellipsoid wheels as well mind. . .)

One to keep

Are the wheels still just lacquered on the lips?

Only way to have 108's IMO

I had both rims, centres and insides kept to the original silver - painted and lacquered - unfortunately the rims couldn't be polished as there is no-one down this way who can do this - they did take all the centres off before painting though unlike a lot of wheel refurbishers. this was done nearly 3 years ago when I first bought the car and still looks as new.

Fair play - plus another 5 points for the biscuit crumbs

Do you have a bit of bolster wear there?

Are those the original exhaust pipes though, I thought you had MM ones ….
