Very true. I have been chased down on my bike and in my TVR, both times I went straight to the police station. There are some crazies out there.
Personally I don't agree that "deserving what you get" is being chased down, then hit by a truck, for what was a bit of a sketchy maneuver that had no impact on the KTM guy. I would say that the guy filming needs some more training, his riding is sub-par at best. Had he been hit doing that right turn, it's all on his own head. He did crash his hire bike a few weeks into having it too.
It amazes me that some people get so frustrated by filtering bikes. So much so that they feel the need to abuse/chase them, what astounds me is that this guy used his truck to take the biker out. After reading comments on forums re. attitudes towards bikers, it does make me generally worried to go out sometimes, the aggression and intolerance that seemingly reasonable people can come up with towards bikers for no real reason other than "I don't like your choice of transport."
Having been knocked off by a taxi doing a U-Turn on a one way street (he though he could nip across a road and miss out a long 1 way system on a quiet Sunday evening), I don't think I deserved being on the floor, with my bike in bits. I didn't ask for him to be jailed or anything, just admit that he was in the wrong (which he did) and pay for my damages (which the insurance did, eventually). I would like to see the

I bet the guys you saw were from/going to the Ace cafe. Friday night is bikers night and just generally attracts 90% idiots. The one time I went I was almost taken out by similar whilst trying to leave. I stay well away from that. A couple of years ago I copped a load of abuse from another biker in Clapham for going slowly (25mph in traffic). Jeans, T shirt, 1000cc super bike, pops a wheelie on the other side of the road. Tool. Summer fair weather bikers (and I generalise here) are often the worst riders, you see them out every year, giving sensible riders a bad name.
That said, there was an article a few years back about a lad who's parents said exactly that, "lovely boy, kind hearted etc.. Recent father, loving partner" Killed on a stolen motorbike whilst joy riding with his mates after drinking...
If he was so nice, why had he stolen a bike and gone joy riding, instead of being with his kid?

Anyhow I think I'll call it a day here on this. We will all agree to disagree on some points, I just hope that someone doesn't decide to try and take me out for filtering or similar because they dislike it.
during any of the Forum organised runs I've been on - unarguably irresponsible riding - if the driving on Forum hoons was anything like this I wouldn't be taking part and wouldn't organise runs - no way would I want to be associated with that type or standard of riding/driving.
