Footwell Lights retrofit?

mine doesn't have the footwell lighting either, but while installing something else i once found a lose connector behind my glovebox, since it didn't appear to be doing anything, i always assumed it was prewiring for the footwell lighting.

I too would be interested in a retrofit if anyone can show what type of lights fit that connector.

Makes me wonder: what else did you install? :) Always looking for new idea's ;-)

I think the extended lighting was part of the comfort pack on e85... It's one of those details I do miss on my current one!

part 8 is what you need- just buy two. The wire is the only one there with a connector from what i can remember- one on both sides, its an easy fit.

i was missing glow box light,well ... not anymore :D :D :D fitted light from e39

Hmmm, I got only one, drivers side in my 03 2.5 with comfort pack, when I looked in the passenger side foot well, the other light was there, even had a bloody bulb in it, but no wire!
:? Searched around the forums, got some correct coloured wire, and looped it across from drivers side, took about half an hour. Sorry, can't remember the colour coding, the roll must still be in my garage somewhere, wasn't too cheap. The early cars tend to have full spec looms no matter what the options, later they economised a bit on the lower spec cars iirc.

When i bought my car i realised my passenger footwell light didnt come on... Did a bit of digging around and couldnt find a wire for it.

Bought a connector and planned to connect it to my working driver side.

Then wile wardwiring my road angel i removed my glovebox and found the wire tapped to the bunch of wires :headbang:

The gf has an E85 3.0si and after seeing the interior light pack on a recent Audi A1, wants it in her Zed.
Mainly it's the lights in the footwell she is after.

From what I read on this thread they may exist, but how would I know and where would I start to find out?

There are no lights in the foot wells, we'll never since she bought the car.
Would they have to be coded to be on? - perhaps?? :?

Can you not look if you have the lights under your footwell?

Mine cane with the passenger side disconnected.

I will have a proper look at the weekend once there is some proper day light.
So in a nut shell what am I exactly looking for? An where should I find it?
