Footwell lights flickering

Woke the Z4 up after a couple of months and noticed as I was sitting with the door open and the engine running the footwell and puddle lights in the doors flickering.

Have just had a 70 miles run and it's still doing it. I would never have noticed this except I was starting the car in the garage and left it to run for a couple of mins before driving.

Anyone else notice this? It settles down when the engine is off.

No not seen that in mine. I have extended lighting so I'd notice flickering. Perhaps just moisture in something. Perhaps speak with service if you still have issues in a few days.

+1 on getting the car looked at if the problem doesn't go away.

If the car was sitting for a long period of time without being connected to a trickle charger you may need to replace the battery.

Hmmm sounds odd. I was following a z4 the other week, and it's rear passenger side tailight was flickering... these are led bulbs. It was pretty distracting to be honest and uncool looking. :?

Just to add. Car has been on one of the better Cteks all winter and the garage is dehumidified. Car is driving fine :D .

None of the other lights have problems just the footwell and puddle lights and you do have to have the door open to have them on.

I still have the problem (since new) of the radio not remebering what am station I was on. Still remembers the presets just resets to the start of the am spectrum. doesn't do it on FM :?

Only does this flickering with the engine running so it must be a voltage problem.

The radio problem is probably a faulty head unit.

Flickering with the engine running is probably voltage but could also be a vibration shaking a loose connection.

^^^^ Now flickering changes slighly with the revs :?

As for the radio, i'm on my third head unit. They have given up on that one :x
