Sniffing out scammers.
I was/am admin on a facebook page where we had a severe scam problem, either trying to sell items that didn't exist (even using pictures of other members parts I kid you not) or if you placed a wanted post they would instantly reply saying they had the bits you wanted. This was their downfall, they didn't know when you were taking the piss.
I would post a wanted add for parts that didn't exist, or if they did they were for a different vehicle, they offered me one, I banned them, simples.
Me thinks I'm going fishing for a while

One dud advert is hardly filling the forum, besides what you should really worry about is the live threads that may have scammed members.
As for the fishing exercise, it obviously doesn't work on here, if my past experiance is anything to go by I would have had several replies by now.
 
The spammers that turn up here are the old school SEO style ones, posting inane tripe about whichever client they need to keyword stuff for. Pretty easy to spot and our moderators are s**t hot at giving them the heave ho. (Big thanks!)

Downside of being an established internet property with useful information in, shows up good in search engines.

We have a very experienced membership, easy reporting and excellent admin/mods.
Nothing for you to worry about
