Folding mirrors

Morning all. How easy or hard would it be to fit electric folding mirrors to my Zed that only has electric mirrors ?

Hi

I retrofitted them on my 2004 Z4, I bought the parts I needed off ebay, switch, mirrors and if memory serves me right a control unit that goes in behind the glove box??? I went across to Peter Van Der Veer, over near Huddersfield who fitted mine, he even sorted out a loom extension for me. You will find a few references to him on here and If you like I have a phone number. It was all done one Saturday why I waited

Many thanks, so not a straight forward swap. I was hoping it would be a simple swap that I could do or at best help from one of my knowledgeable forum friends

I am sure somebody on here must have done it before DIY. Mine is a pre October 2004 model and all the changes I have done have been simply plug and play after the October they only fitted the wiring loom for already fitted accessories, even so, mine wasn't wired for the electric folding mirrors, hence the trip to Huddersfield

Morning gents, sorry to gatecrash am I right in thinking my 2003 z4 may already have the wiring in place for electric folding mirrors, so it would be a case of install plug and play just like the cruise control?

Dave :D

Electric folding mirrors seem to polarise views. Speaking to Flimper last week he said that he folds his every time he parks. I have only folded mine once and that was to see what the button did! I guess I should check that they haven't seized, but not the end of the world if they have.
