Folding mirrors

Ive had the 3.0 convertible 2003 for a year,and never had the mirrors folding in when parked up

I looked all over to see if there was a switch to allow this to happen,but resigned myself to the fact they didn't fold automatically.

She went for her MOT last week,and I asked the garage to drop the car back for me,when I arrived home the mirrors were folded back,which I thought they had manually done,so I pushed them back in place.

Returned from a run out in her, parked her up and to my surprise the mirrors automatically folded in??

Anyone cast any light on this,how was this set?
 
There should be very small button on the drivers door by the electric window switch
I've got a 3 litre convertible as well. We seem to be on a similar career path because my previous
car was a v8 chimaera!
 
Really,ill check,i know the buttons there but wasn't aware what it did,thought it was to do with altering the mirror position inside the body

Good old Tivs,ive had 400 chim,500 chim and Griff 500

Love the z4 though,we all the modern goodies compared to the go carts with beautifully loud engines
 
I had a 450 before I bought the E89. I enjoyed the Chimaera and, of course, the sound is to die for. The E89 is a very different car but so far it’s all good. I drive down into France in the summer and the E89 is perfect for that type of motoring.
