Folding driver side mirror

Looking for a driver side folding mirror, preferably silver as eejit neighbour appears to have snapped mine while away. I'm in Glasgow so price including postage would be great. What do people have?

Bear in mind it is very simple to swap the coloured shell, so any colour will do you. (Assuming your shell is not damaged?)

No they don't.
Plain heated - heated and dimming - heated and folding - heated, dimming and folding

OK, bugger, any idea how to identify? Know mine fold, so I'd assume folding and heated at least. Not sure how to tell if dimming? Glass is OK, just broken at joint

Look at the glass. If it is a plain edge then not dimming.
If it has a rubber seal around the edge then it is a dimming one.

As far as I understand it:
5 wires - electric and heated
7 wires - as above but with either folding function or dimming function
9 wires - electric, heated, folding & dimming

Thanks Wassup, that might help when I'm checking ebay as they are all off cars and only some list if folding or not.

Do you mean folding? Or power folding? AFAIK all mirrors will fold manually (unless they have the electric powerfold option). I’m sure plenty of us have manual folding units if that’s what you’re after? Myself included.

Unfortunately mine is power folding. Getting the feeling replacement will be expensive.

Should still be okay to source. The power folding aren’t common but they are about. It’s the dimming ones that are super rare aka hens teeth.

Can always resort to a manual one if you need just a work around till you can source a proper replacement.

Yeah seen a couple on ebay around 100-120, at least they didn't break the shell. Need to see what offers the places will take.

Finally looking at this as getting ready to use the car again. Looks like a 7 wire folding model is what I'm after.
