Folding Door mirrors

I've done it in both NCSExpert and Bimmercode. In Bimmercode, I had to use the expert mode.

Hi.
I went down the root of the Bimmercode and you are right about the Expert mode. I changed it the non expert mode and nothing happened even though it showed active.
What is the code in the expert mode I need to change?
Thanks
Geoff

Fold on Lock Mirrors

FORTSCLIESSUNG_FB AND KOMFORTOEFFNUNG_FB to aktiv
CAS : FH_KOMFORTF_MIT_SUBST

Coding in CAS:
KOMFORTOEFFNUNG_FB = aktiv
KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB = aktiv

Coding in FRM:
SPIEGEL_KOMFORT_EINKLAPP=aktiv
SPIEGEL_EINKLAPPEN=aktiv

Coding in CTM:
KOMF_OEFFNEN_FBD_Z_E89=aktiv
KOMF_SCHLIESS_FBD_E89=aktiv

Windows

Coding in CAS:
KOMFORTOEFFNUNG_FB=aktiv
KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB=aktiv
Komfortschliessung_pa (non comfort) = nicht-aktiv
KOMFORTOEFFNUNG= nicht-aktiv
KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG= nicht-aktiv
KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA = nicht-aktiv
KOMFORT_SCHLIESSEN wert to 00

PS I managed to activate the digital speed reading though.

I am looking to do this myself plus quite a lot of other coding. Is there anyone with Bimmercode (or similar) in the Hertfordshire area who would by happy to assist?

Not sure what the question is - assist you with doing it yourself?

I'm not a million miles away (near Reading) & have done this & other coding bits for people quite a few times - happy to give you a hand if you want to pop over.

I've got a decent scanner + bimmercode, and know how to use them. Done most of the interesting coding on mine & a few other peoples on here (mirror auto fold on lock / unfold on unlock / indicators to 5 flashes instead of 3 were the main ones on z4). Coded out the electronic suspension on one also. Done the mr12volt carplay install & coding.

So a nooby, but not a complete nab.

Thanks Mat

I didn't make my post very clear. I am looking to do some coding but not got Bimmercode myself (maybe I should just get it). Was looking for someone who had it locally who could do the coding in exchange for a couple of beers tokens.

Thanks for the offer I may just get it myself so I have it for future reference. Just couldn't decide on getting Bimmercode or go for the insta software so I have diagnostics as well. I have a laptop I can use so it would just be the cable and software. Probably a similar price as Bimmercode so can't decide.

This is me all over, totally overthinking

If you are a full on nerd then the laptop tool does just about everything for free + £30 of cables. But expect a lot of effort to figure it all out & use it.

Bimmercode does everything I have wanted it to, and easy. They also do Bimmerlink for a scan tool if you like that kind of thing on your phone.

Thanks Mat.

Bimmercode seems to easy option, I wonder if using the laptop might be a little to complicated and like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut. But it gives the added bonus of a decent error code diag tool (at least I think it's a decent one, someone might have to correct me though)

Hi All

I have tried this coding lark with Bimmercode (android) & still not able to get the folding mirrors to work on the remote, although I do have a low battery alarm so might be that?? Battery currently on charge as my welcome lights have also stopped working.. Does anyone have a simple guide to achieve this? or a nice “easy” video.

Thanks Terry

Without a fully charged battery many things aren’t going to work properly…

Battery now replaced after a few odd messages on the navvy screen! 8 years on original battery so not done bad!

Replaced with 90ah, code worked! My mirrors now fold on the remote :thumbsup:
