folding bike that fits in boot

anyone got any recommendations

soft top 07 z4

best "folded" dimensions I have found so far are 85cm x60cm x35cm
now the gap in the rear of the book after the slightly recessed area with the battery etc is about 34.8cm!!!
it's going to be tight fit anyway but wondering if anyone has any advice

anyone had a folding bike that fits in the boot of their z4?

You need to get a Brompton, here's two of ours in my zeds boot, expensive but the best!

I used to get my Giant Halfway in the z4 boot (sadly no pictures...) but had a 20" wheel rather than the Brompton 16".

Other 20" bikes are plentiful but the best known makes are Tern or Dahon

Similar to the Brompton folded size would be a Mezzo, also on a 16" wheel.

My current bike would probably fit, though I can't be sure unless someone wants to come and try... would take some dismantling though - its an Airnimal Joey with a 24" wheel... does fit in the new Mini Coupe though

Bromptons rock. great folding bike. Probably teh gold stadard. Small when folded, even fits in the boot my E89 with the roof down and that's some feat, though you can't actually get it out without closing (or parking ) the roof
