"foldable" rearview mirrors

They all fold ... some do it eletrically, some do it by manual force.

they seem useless in my opinion.. I like the merc method where they fold when you park, but on the Z4 you have to press a button... I don't have it, but personally if I did I would never use it.

I have it and I never use it maybe if I park in a thight place I might..

I've had the same mirror knocked off twice now ... so would definitely use it if I had it!

It is stupid that it's not automatic - should happen whenever the alarm is on.

I've never really folded them to fit into a parking spot, but I could see that being an option at some point when I'm stuck for parking and have to use a tight space. Having the powered version is nice though!

Unfortunately where I live I have to be happy if I can find a parking spot that is not under a tree, so I have to fold my mirrors quite often... Would like to have the powered version, but find it stupid that it is not automatic.

Sunday I had a Pug 407 SW whose only redeeming feature was that it folded the mirrors automatically when locked.
