Foggin' Foggy fog lights

yes i think it is ! i sorted mine last weekend , need to remove the bulb and aim a hairdryer through the hole untill they are completely dry :thumbsup:
 
one of mine has started to do this since it started to get cold... so its booked in with BMW this Friday. The guy recons they will just replace it under the warranty; but they need to check it first.
 
I know this was posted a long time ago but I wanted to see if people are suffering the same as me.

Ive bought my Z4 coupe in June and the fog lights have been misted up ever since, they look awful, the BMW dealer told me to turn them on to dry them out!? Ive done that but they mist up - I suspect they are trying to avoid replacing under warrenty?! What do you guys think, have I grounds to ask for them to be replaced?
 
Mine were changed under warranty when the car ('06 facelift) was 2.5 years old due to fogging , now 2 years later they are starting to fog up in the colder weather again... crap design!! :thumbsdown:
 
Mine are fogged - and they have what looks like mould inside. Considering taking them off and at least cleaning them out and drying them if possible, but I suspect it's not... It's not under warranty anymore, so I a pretty much resigned to buying a new set... :(
 
I find that the long bonnet renders them less than helpfull in thick fog....

However, I'll be checking mine this eve for fog!!!
 
Cheers guys.... Lets see how the BMW Dealer feels about doing this work under warrenty!
 
Mine have done this - they're coming out today to be cleaned, dried and the rubber seal on the bulb holder treated with some rubber restorer. Hopefully that should fix 'em!
 
I also have this problem. It would be interesting to know if owners of post face lift Series 1 owners, who have similiar rectangular lights, experience the same problem? I have the round fog lights on my 2005 Series I car and they have never misted up.
Sounds like there should have been a recall of post face lift Z4's. :x
 
Which seal are we on about?-is there one round the bulb and another round the whole unit?-i dont remember seeing one when i tried to dry mine out? :cry:
