I'm having problems with my trusty '99 Focus. I drove it into town and back just before Christmas and today went to take it into the garage for its MOT, having not touched it since the pre-crimbo trip. First of all, the central locking didn't work at all - the buttons on the key fob did nothing, and I had to unlock the driver and passenger doors with the key in the lock. Then, when I put the key in the ignition and turned it, nothing happened.
Any suggestions? I had a new battery fitted about six months ago as the old one had died. The MOT and insurance are both due in the next couple of weeks, and the tax in March, so I'm considering just taking the old boy to the scrappers and replacing in a few months...
