FM Transmitter With Bluetooth - Your Experiences Please?

Has anyone tried one of these? It seems ridiculously cheap for what it offers, so I'm assuming the quality is pretty low. Does it actually work? What's the sound quality like? Any comments or suggestions of a better make /option?

I've had one for about 4 years now and I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner. I was burning CDs and or listening to the radio lol. I don't want to massacre my stock headunit or drill holes or anything so I took the easy way out and it actually works amazing and sounds pretty decent!

I bought one by Scosche since it looks super clean and it matches the interior of our cars that have the aluminum trim IMO:

Hi Motionblurr,
I agree, the Scosche unit looks much more slick and in keeping with our interior!
Does that unit have a microphone or does it use the phone's mic for handsfree calls?
If so, does the mic work ok with the roof down? Can people hear you ok?
Thanks!

Cool thing, but can be problematic when travelling. Frequencies are different in Italy, France, Greece... Hard to adjust while driving, and in some countries frequency updates every 30kms... I have used that before I installed BlueMusic adapter behind the radio, simple plug and play, and ashtray can stay closed. Still use FM transmitter in other car locally.

I bought this and it worked fine until I upgraded

I bought this to replace it
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B076P86LXH?ref_=ppx_hzod_title_dt_b_fed_asin_title_0_0
This connects to the AUX socket under the dashboard so no issues with frequencies or interference.

I have a very similar one (looks like it was made by the same people). its very good that it has to be said the levels are not that great - you will find the normal radio channels (Radio 1, 2 etc) are significantly louder than your phone, even if you crank everything up.

Thanks for you comments guys. Thought I'd give a quick update.
So I ended up buying one of these and overall it works really well.

I've had no issues linking with my phone and hands free calling seems fine; I can be heard ok even with the top down.
Ben is quite right that the volume level when using the phone is very different from when listening to the radio, so be aware of that. The only other issues I've found are first finding a radio-station-free channel (few and far between) and second there's no on/off switch; the cigarette lighter stays live with the ignition switched off so I have to unplug the using manually; no big deal. So overall I'm very happy with it.

Thanks again guys!
