Flywheel

I like to know the workings of my cars so have been reading up on DMFs. Like the originator of this thread I have the 2.5 five speed Zed. My understanding was that it is the 6 speed gearbox models ie the 3 litre cars that had the DMF which is normally the domain of diesel cars. Can anyone confirm categorically whether or not the five speed 2.5 model has the DMF.

You don't specify the year but part 21217519493 is the twin mass flywheel for 2002 to 2005 manual trans 2.2 & 2.5

Put your chassis number into realoem.com to check you exact car.

Diesel only - not sure about that - my daughters 1.6 petrol 1 series has a DMF
 
Thanks. Checked and bugger it does have the twin mass flywheel. No current problems but dont like the idea of having such a potentially troublesome part.
