Hi everyone. I’ve put a holding deposit on this and wondered if anyone “knew” the car?
Cheers

Super colour, check the inside edge of the rear rims as they’re prone to cracking! Lots of info on here to read through

That the one sandwiched between the 2 artics on the M1 last winter?
Cracking repair job.

Just kidding too, was only hit from behind. :D
Lovely colour.

Lovely colour.

You would need to have your eyes closed to drive into that. Flamboyant colour for sure.

I know it's my 'not normal' brain; but when I look at the picture in the first post I can't help thinking it says "customer hanging area". And it keeps making me chuckle :D

The H looks like an L too, should be "Hookers"

I don't know the car but it's a fantastic colour!

Hope it all works out well for you, and welcome to the forum.

Cheers everyone… I think

Just trying to do some digging….

I had a E89 23i in Orion Silver 11 years ago…… sold it about 3 years later. Ive missed having it, but enough about my married life, Ive missed the car too 🥁

This one is “only” the 2.0i so it’ll need to have its engine “freed up” as and when.
As the car’s in Newcastle and I’m in Derbyshire, without the opportunity to actually view it, it’s not easy to get 100% of the info. Eg it’s advertised as having Comfort Access but no sign of it on the build sheet of the VIN checkers hence why I was wondering if it was a members ex car, but if a long shots going to come in- I’d rather it be the lottery results, so it’s not the end of the world if nobody “knows” it!
They’ve already said it no longer has the wind deflector and I believe these are about £300 so just priming my wallet for some further abuse….

Very few E89s in the UK have comfort access. FWIW.

So if it’s a BMW dealer it will be sold with run flat tyres which on those 326m alloys will be a splendid ride..not…especially with the M Sport suspension.

Given two sets of MOTs showing unloved tyres you question the former owners priorities but heh..

Yep, I’ve asked about them and some replacements have taken place (unfortunately with Potenza’s it seems). The “interesting” thing seems to be the deletion of the sport suspension. I remember my last one being hard (oo-er Mrs etc) riding so the comparison will be interesting.

There are a few fairly recent threads on this subject (in the E89 discussion section). Seems a very rare option, especially on a 20i. IIRC there should be raised lines on the fronts of the door handles if it has CA.
The dealer could be thinking that the roof opening on the fob is comfort access, which it obviously isn't.

I think that is your normal brain sir, but I thunk it should be stealer hanging area

Well that is almost the double of mine except for the wheels.
Nowt wrong with the 20i. £300 got me an extra 100bhp and wads more torque.
Swapped to non-runflats on my 18" wheels and now have the car it should have been in the first place.
Such a satisfying colour to polish too.

Dude!
Don't do it! You will regret it.

It's just too difficult to maintain wihtout the proper facilities. I do have them though!
