Fly remover

Can't find anything in Search....anyone recommend a good, efficacious fly-remover before I get a packet of Brillo pads?

I was going to post a similar question.

It's not the height of summer yet but my windscreen is covered with their remains. I think bugs are getting bigger too...

I find my pre-wash with magifoam through the foam lance gets rid of 99% of bug splats. For the other 1% I squirt a bit of APC on (I use the meguiars one) and leave it to dwell for a minute and rinse off. You shouldn't have to use serious contact to remove them as you're just asking for scratches and swirls

I splattered the front of my car pretty good with a 1800 mile trip to and around the western highlands this weekend. I found the Autoglym insect remover followed by a jetwash did the trick.

Lay a warm damp/wet window leather or cleaning towel over the area. Come back in 5 minutes and they just wipe off. Might need to move it around or use a couple, but takes no effort, solvents or abrasion

+1. Except don't use leather, it has the potential to add to your swirl marks.

I would never leather the car, purely suggest it for this purpose and have one that's never been used for cleaning. Just lay it on and it holds water to soak off the flies.

x 2 except I use a couple of sheets of kitchen towel. Works a treat. Good for helmet visors as well.

Easy as rideing a bike, motorbike trick for your visor, Baby Wipes if they can shift baby mess, walk in the park for fly's.
and gentle on your pride and joy. trust me it works.

Strong old gear that autoglym insect remover , definately removes waxes etc into the bargain which is one of the things that helps the bugs to adhere less in the first place..... the soaking with a damp cloth / leather as has been mentioned is the best way be far
