Fluid flush intervals?

Hey guys,
New Z4 owner here. Mine is a 03 2.5i. How often are we suppose to change the fluids? Coolant, brake fluid and the diff oil is the only fluid on a manual right? And of course engine oil, I'm doing full synthetic every 5k miles.

What kind of coolant does it take. Also, for brake fluid, dot 3 or dot 4? THanks

Coolant - keep topped up, best just to get from a BMW dealer to make sure it is the right stuff. Mine is blue coloured.

Brake fluid - every two years, indicated by the car by pressing the service interval button in between the dials while the distance to service is showing on start-up. No idea what dot I'm afraid... Have seen people upgrade to for 5, so maybe dot 4 ?

Oil - per the service schedule, which goes oil service, inspection 1, oil service, inspection 2, oil service, insp 1 and so on repeating. Maximum interval between services 2 years. When it is serviced the OBC is reset, interval is based on fuel used but seems to work out at about 15k miles between each.

I drive an auto, but I am sure the diff oil needs changed on that... IIRC that is only done at an inspection 2 service.

Hope that helps - I am sure someone will be along to correct me if I am wrong and fill any gaps

(Worth saying, I am no mechanic, I have just paid attention on here :D )

^ What he said :D

Coolant and brake fluid (DOT 4) every 2 years.
Diff oil is supposedly lifetime fill, however it's generally advisable to change every 30k miles. Do the transmission at the same time.

Since your car isn't on warrnaty anymore, there is a humidity level reading tool for brake fluid. If the tool reads below 2%, your brake fluid is fine and doesn't need replacing. Mine (a summer driver) has less than the max specified levels and it's 4 years old.
