I have the BMW Professional Navigation stereo in the car with the DSP in the boot and the flip-up screen. The screen stopped flipping up so I investigated today but couldnt see what might be causing the issue. The cogs on the motor and the gears on the screen are intact and engaged. The screen wont rotate when I turn the ignition but when I try and use the buttons on either side of the screen I can hear the motor engage but not turn. Is there something that controls how much the motor turns? I checked the fuses (47, 49 and 50) and they are all intact.
If I open the screen manually it shows the onboard computer screen and while I can move the selection frame around the screen I cant make a selection by pressing the button.
Radio works ok as does the songs from my phone (played through the Intravee unit connected to the CD changer cables in the boot).
Has anyone else experienced anything like that and able to point me to something I can check?
