Pro’s

Quality German engineering - best reliability in the industry
Very smooth polishing experience, with very low to zero vibration when using FLEX pads
Relatively quiet, no polishing machine is silent but this is a pleasure to use
80mm pads mean that you can polish smaller areas around bumpers and inside door shuts easily with limited pad stall after a little practice - ideal as a first machine
In addition to the above point, smaller pads size makes polishing all the curves on a Z4 easier as much reduced pad stall compared to bigger pads on a bigger machine
12mm ‘long- throw’ means that this machine gives excellent cut, so very good paint correction ability
Smaller than the full size 15’’ throw machines with bigger pads, so much easier to handle, much reduced pad stall and better results if you’re new to machine polishing as easier to learn

Con’s

The pad size for this machine is 80mm, so polishing a big panel like the bonnet will take a little longer than a larger machine… but that’s about it

Kit includes the machine, carry case/box, a cutting compound (partially used) and a polishing/finishing compound (un-used) and extra pads in addition to the 3 that come in the kit. Everything you need to get started with the exception of microfibre cloths.

Includes 3 Purple cutting pads (dropped one on the floor so binned it) 5 orange cutting/polishing pads, 5 red/white finishing pads and a single green ‘ultra-cut’ pad. I didn’t buy any additional green pads as the purple pads are more than enough for heavy defect correction and finish better.

I used this machine to correct the paint on this car and the results were superb;



I also used it to bring back the bonnet on my partner’s E85 after wet sanding;





Forum price is £217.00. This has had very limited use, and is a bargain at this price.

The cheapest place I can find the kit on it’s own is currently £344 and the extra pads were £67, so that’s £411!!

It’s not had very much use, and the only reason I’m selling is that I splurged on a FLEX Supa-Beast and I have a mini battery polisher, so this is now a little redundant .

To sweeten this deal even further, I’m prepared to throw in my old Das6 Pro and a couple of 5’’ pads for it for free!!

This machine is an effective workhorse, but it is both louder and less smooth than the Flex. With this in mind, if you wanted to have a 2 machine Combo to make doing the bonnet easier (for example) this will do everything you need.

It is still a very effective machine for correcting paint and has served me well over the years, but I can’t see it doing anything other that sitting on the shelf ‘just in case’.

You will need to purchase a new backing plate, I’ve misplaced the original, but these are cheap.

If it was a genuine mistake, fair enough, but when I found their website and typed ‘flex’ in the search box the kit at £355 was the first thing on the list.

For anyone observing the thread, this kit can’t be bought anywhere for £279… but the bare machine can, which get’s you just the machine.

Quick update for transparency;

Rightly or wrongly, I read the ‘it’s going to cost me a tenner to collect’ comment as a fuel cost for picking up, and accepted the offer on this basis. Less hassle, no finding boxes etc.

PM then received requesting I box it all up for parcelforce collection. I had already received a higher offer for posting via another forum, but for the Flex kit only and excluding the Das6 pro. I was prepared to accept the lower offer here as I thought it would be straightforward pick up.

I’ve gone with the other offer as it’s easier to find a smaller box that doesn’t need to accommodate the Das6. Basically minimising the hassle factor.

Accepted my offer on a collection 'preferred' ad NOT a collection only ad.

Then uses semantics to wriggle out of the agreed deal. Why would a tenner infer petrol. That would get you literally 10 miles in an M.

Don't think that confirms with Forum rules or spirit at all.

I’m being accused of ‘semantics’ via PM - I can’t see how I could have taken this as anything other than ‘‘I’ll collect’’

I have politely pointed out (via PM) that I don’t know where bg1 lives, and until the comment about an ‘M’ had no idea what he drives… so I can’t see how I’m expected to come to the conclusion that a courier is involved because a figure of £10 is stated?

Whilst I’m sorry that bg1 is upset, there was never any communication via the thread or PM about me boxing up or waiting in for a courier until AFTER the £195 offer here was accepted.
