"Flat" Tire :-(

This is why I like the tire plug tool. It puts a mushroom plug in place that also seals the hole in the tire...

SPEED RATING: Only the "green" arrow repair procedure shown on the picture above is approved by most manufacturers if you wish to retain the speed rating of the tire. Without this repair, chances are the manufacturer will also void the warranty for any ride related issues.

side note: I work for a tire munufacturer

Very interesting tool...But how do you get to the inside of the tire? Do you have to remove it from the rim (that's quite hard on tubeless)?

Don't need to as the muchroom plug is highly compressed and the nozzle is pushed in the hole in the tire that has been roughed up with a special tool included. The plug is pushed out of the nozzle and expands. Then the tool is withdrawn leaving the plug in place. Trim the stem of the plug to the suface length of the tire tread and allow a few minutes for the tire cement to set and your done.

Another source for the plug kit...

Following the discussion on patching a tire with an expanding plug. A few postings listed a source for the plugs. Can't get either of the sites to open. Does anyone have current information on the mushroom plugs?
