Hi,

I noticed an few times that my traction light flashes for an milli-second when travelling at high speed, does anyone else experience this?

Check your rear tyres or slow down ! Lol
Mines comes flashes from time to time but it's when i'am giving it the beans.

What tyres are you using and what is the road surface like when this happens?

There is about a half second delay in the traction control light coming on in my Zed - generally at the exit of a corner though, or during heavy acceleration, not at high speed.

Dual carriage way, but it could be dipps in the road - however I have not noticed any power loss.

Mine does it occasionally, especially after going over speed bumps sometime on dual carriage way if there is a small bump. Hope that helps.

Dips in the road makes sense. Weight reduced and diff loses drive on one wheel = flash?

Was it wet?

No perfect driving conditions

the only logic i can think of road been uneven.

However...

How often do you 35i get traction kicking in from 2nd to 3rd & 3rd to 4th?

I had this on my 2.8 Z3 although it wasn't DSC but an older system (ASC?). Normal conditions but at high speeds. Turned out it was cracked rear springs, but very subtle and hard to spot. Until they were taken off the car - then it was obvious.

The light went away - Yay.

I'de been living with it for 2 years! Doh!

I hope it's something simple like this for you. It was a very subtle break on the end and hard to spot.

Yup, I've seen this on the odd occasion. Say, going over a paricularly big expansion joint on a bridge etc.

if yiu have cruise activated, a further message will appear on the idrive display. Something about driving more carefully...
