Flashed for the first time today

It is a bit odd in a way, as the slowing down of outside lane to almost a standstill with the other lanes still going - I would often go into lane 1 to continue moving and once the issue has sorted itself out, move across again. Guess it is just luck on whether you get pulled or not (but considering the amount of MLM (possibly including that police car on the PH thread), I find it odd that they selectively chose who to pick up).

Certainly agree here and many a time I've seen the outside lane slowing in the distance (usually as it's got too many jostling close cars and one minor move causes a major line slow down) and moved into the inside lanes 2 or 1 and sailed on for some distance. In theory I see that as an offence whilst the cars who were already in lanes 1 and 2 and merely continued to drive as normal are not offenders. The former did it to gain advantage and the latter not so.

As with all these things I guess it comes down to luck of if it's observed and the interpretation of any officer observing. I take the PH thread with a pinch of salt with someone changing lanes so many times and with his undercutting a police officer then pulling out to pass a lorry
