Fixing a SatNav - Where

Hmmmm. Quite like that position. Now I will try and find some sort of no dril bracket to fix it though and maybe under-trim to anchor it.
No probs with the socket as it is wired to a socket behind the panel.
 
Job done. Bottom right of screen where suggested. Looks good and is in a good position to read.

Any response to the other question?
 
I have a 2007 Z4 and the dealer has change my Navigation computer twice... Is anyone out there having the same issue? What happens with mine is it looses SAT... I tried going into the navigation settings and it shows computer error.... I tried to reset by disconnecting the negative wire and still no communication with the SAT...

I still like the idea of the Brodit if I used satnav more often, purely to avoid any telltale marks on the windscreen from the sucker.

That's a great idea :thumbsup: I would have to get a blanking plate and remove the useless cup holder, BTW Ally i'm the same as you regarding the sucker tell tale mark, i just carry a cloth in my door bin and gave it a quick wipe when i remove it from the windscreen, excellent job.

I'd also consider hard-wiring it in rather than plug it into a 12v socket, but I use my sat nav in more than one vehicle so need it to be easily transferable. You can also buy (here in the UK at least) black plastic discs for mounting sat nav to: sticky-backed to attach to dashboard, then you attach the sat nav to the disc via it's sucker. Still a bit obvious perhaps but does avoid the very obvious marks on the window.
