Fixed vanos, now have coolant leak

Hi all,

last weekend i carried out the vanos repair and the car is running beautifully , really happy i did it.

only problem is now i have a coolant leak and eash morning when i come out to the car the coolant bottle is empty, is there something that i might of done when fixing the vanos that i might not of done correctly when re assembling the engine et al that might of lead to this leak, i did have a bit of an accident with one of the connectors where i pinged off one of the metal spring clips and so now its just pushed on but without the spring clip. how could i check where the leak is coming from? iv had a quick visual check and cant really see anything, im also slightly concerned i may of punctured a hose or something when i was using the pry bar, but im assuming if this were the case the leak would be alot quicker, any help would be hugely appreciated!

I would try to look for where the leak is coming from and continue to monitor it for 4 or 5 hours or so so as though you can pin point it. If you absolutly can not figure it out then maybe take it apart piece by piece and check out each piece. Could as well be an irrelevant problem that just happened by coincidence. Take it to BMW and tell them that you don't know what the deal is and don't tell em you took anything apart.
