Fixed my door lock problem

My door locks were not working before. When I hit the key remote for the car the locks wouldn't pop up. They were slowly starting not to work at first and then completely stopped. First was the passenger door (which didn't help out when on a date having her climb over the car door) then finally the drivers door stopped working.

The problem I found out was I had bought a gadget, which plugs into the cigarette socket & lets me charge 2 things at once but it was sucking all my juice from the cars system which then wouldn't allow it to unlock the doors.

There was no signs from any sensors or gauges that the main battery was low. So this is my guess. I just figured that maybe there are 2 separate batteries that the car uses for things. One to start the car and the other for the door locks. So as long as I don't constantly have that gadget plugged in everything works perfect.

Very odd. There are certainly not 2 batteries int he car, just the one and that has huge reserves of power. Running a pair of smalll charger (phone types I assume) is a small draw and could only affect the car if left on for hours without the engine running.

I suspect in order to check 1) your battery is near the end of it's life, 2) charging circuit not working fully 3) a circuit drain somewhere / fault in the lock control

Start by getting you r battery checked out
