I bought a Pure 600 DAB before Xmas and completely forgot about it, just had a bit of a clear out and just found it. Do i need to remove the glove box to route the cables or can i just drop it down like i did when i had to remove the GM5 module ? On a completely different note, i hadn't started my car for 3 weeks and thought i'd better give it a run, really not a happy car on start up running on maybe 4 cylinders ! took a couple of starts then left it running for 10 mins before going for a 20 mins blast to warm it up. Are they usually that grumpy when left standing ?

I just dropped the glovebox a little (depends whether you're hardwiring it or not).
There's plenty of 'soft' materials around the edge of the windscreen & door to feed the cable through - and so you can connect the magnetic roof earth - and the cable can go along the side of the transmission tunnel if you don't want to delve deeper.
Are you connecting it through the Aux-In or FM (I'd strongly advice the Aux-In connection over FM).

The antenna cables dropped in fine behind the A-pillar, glove box etc. Any tips on losing the excess for the phono and USB cables and getting them all behind the trim appreciated, it's currently all 'on show' in the ashtray!

If you're powering it through the ashtray then you'll have a decent lump of cable going over centre console anyway - I'd suggest hard-wiring it into the fuse box instead - which should let you cut your hard-wire cables to length.
For about a week, I simply had the cables in the passenger footwell (in a mini storage net on the side of the trans tunnel) - but you may be able to find some space behind the upper footwell trim (i.e. the leather bit above the carpet, but under/aside the glovebox).

I fitted a Highway 600 a couple of weeks ago.
I'm pretty new to fiddling with cars in any meaningful sense.....
But managed to hide the cables behind the windscreen pillar easily enough (without breaking the infamous plastic tab at the bottom of the pillar trim). Carried on the cable run down behind the weather seal .... then behind the side foot-well trim and then 'up and over' .... behind the plastic trim above the foot-well but underneath the glovebox itself. You can JUST squeeze the cable through a very small gap over the transmission tunnel to the driver side. You need to drop the trim panel under the dash .... very fiddly screws to remove/install. From there its easy to tuck the cable along the trim panel that leads to the 12v cigarette lighter socket.
It all looks pretty neat. I used gaffer tape to secure the loose lengths of cable. The Z4 has enough rattles already, I reckon!
Removed the trim along the roof to separately route the microphone to the driver sunscreen.
Really pleased with the unit. I installed the wireless control box at the corner of the of the center console ali panel in the corner just above '1st gear'.
However, the sound quality through the AUX input is horrible. Very distorted. I've changed the AUX input level on the BMW Business head unit to its minimum setting but it's still distorted. Perfect digital radio audio over the FM transmission channel though. I'm happy enough with that way of doing things.

Have a go with this. - I had the same problem and it sounds perfect now. It's just a cable section with a ferrite core round it in a neat box. got the cables through and hidden away, unfortunately I've cracked the a pillar trim at the top so now waiting on some glue to arrive before i can finish up.
