Fitting M-Sport seats

Just managed to buy some M-Sport E85 seats (electric, memory) to replace my standard seats (electric, heated, memory).

Other than following the guide shown in this thread, is there anything else that I need to do? (I vaguely have "passenger occupancy" popping into my head!)

How much did you get your seats for, if you don't mind me asking? On the hunt for some myself. Although are you looking at selling your current seats?

I did the same swop a couple of months ago.Transfer the black occupancy box from your old passenger seat to the new seat,plug in little module that you buy off eBay .Unplug the old occupancy seat wire from the yellow connector and replace with plug from your old seat.
I bought my occupancy module off eBay seller based in Londonderry,it came with another piece of kit which stops the seat belt light flashing when the seat is not occupied.

Yes you can just fasten the belt to stop the audible warning when the seat is not occupied.
The part I bought from eBay was quite cheap at around £12,when I last looked the price had gone up slightly.
All you have to do is disconnect the two wires from the seat belt pre tensioner and replace with the wires from the little unit from eBay ,which is easy when the seats are out.,this saves having the belt fastened all the time.

you could just buy a seatbelt clip for a few pounds on ebay instead, thats what I did.

Ask someone on here nicely and get it coded to switch off seatbelt reminder thus no chimes, it's in SSS v32 software. Then you don't need to have seatbelt clipped in or buy those seatbelt clips

Have to agree with 85genius, I did the same thing on my seats. The squabs (lower half of the seat, what you sit on) was a bit of a pain to fit back on, but no big deal really. Just remember to ensure the little bits of lime coloured plastic are on the hook part, otherwise the metal on metal will cause no end of squeaking.

But non M bases don't have the extending bit at the front of it like an M seat does, or am I missing the point ?

After sitting in an M seated car I wouldn't mind a set, preferably in the cream leather colour of my seats (should be cheaper than black or red) t save changing more trim.
