Fitting HID kit, guide/pictures?

Hi guys, as it's my birthday, got my HID kit from HIDs direct (see link below). I know a few people on here have them fitted and was just wondering if there was a picture guide explaining the best way to fit them? I want them to be as tidy as possible and have nothing rattling about etc!

Thanks for the help!

here is the guide,
remove old bulb, refit new ones , connect cables, job done , simples

Where do you secure the ballast Marius? Also, does the bumper have to come off? I thought I read on here that it wasn't necessary.

The ballasts 'don't' need securing inside the headlight - the amount of wires in there holds it tight

You don't need to remove the bumper you can access the headlights bulbs from the wheel arches by turning the wheels to the appropriate side and removing the plastic cover. You can find instruction in the manual. happy birthday btw

Thanks very much  Took the car out on a nice drive with the roof down, lovely day over here. I might well just try and do it that way then, just wondered about what to do with the ballasts and whether they would rattle about?

When I did mine instead of cutting 25 mm hole I just cut a small piece out of the bottom part of the unit so the cables were snug when the cover went back on.

Check your wiring I think they only work one way so turn the ignition on to the second click don't start the car unless until you know they work.

I also bought a retainer clip off of ebay so I had the original as spare its not a must but they're only a fiver
I didn't remove the bumper I did it in the dark with a head torch but that's because I'm inpatient

Fitting these today, hopefully it's as easy as you all say! Just going to leave the ballasts unattached as a lot of you are suggesting, doing it without removing the front bumper.

What retaining clip would that be please

You've purchased the same kit as me, it's MID slim, so the entire unit will fit inside the headlight with a little bit of persuasion. I put some double sided tape on the bottom where they would be resting inside the headlight, but it was pretty tight in there so it's not really needed.
