Fitting AUX port to E85

I'm potentially getting a zed next week (subject to an inspection). It has a 6 CD changer and Id like to fit an AUX port. My question is, is the only way to fit one via the CD part of the unit which would put CD changer out of action. Id like to have a CD changer and use of an AUX port - is this possible?

Hello m8

For me I bought a aux cable pre made from eBay, the cable plugs into 2 connectors on the back of the CD player, I ran it through the front and drilled very small hole which I attached the aux socket.

you have to activate the Aux option on the cd head unit as its off as default

Can't remember how but I googled it at the time

If you buy the correct cable (buy OEM not cheap eBay units) your z'd will instantly activate aux on the head unit, if you buy an aux cable from eBay some of them don't have the resistors/capacitors that activate the aux selection on the headunit.

Fruity cables do a cable with the resistors and capacitors fitted (like OEM) but I've had one and they are provide not great sound feedback (lots of back ground hiss), buy once buy OEM...

and you won't lose CD changer!
