Fitting Aero side skirts

There are a couple of 'How To' guides on here

Very yes! I did it myself, half an hour a side and it was new to me and included cleaning up the sills etc. Although it was on axle stands with wheels off at the time.

Why in ///M specific before Adam says :poke:

But after fitting PVR's and mine I can confirm we didn't have to trim anything.

This might help also

Mine needed trimming as the leading edge wouldn't sit flush so I matched the stock sill indentation on the back section of the sill.

I need to replace my skirts but I cant get them off :?
The front screw/bolt comes off with a socket attachment but the rear one seems to be some kind of torx screw and I cant get anything to fit it.

any ideas?

Cheers

I'm ordering some aero skirts in the morning, a question. Do I need to bother with the fitting kits or gaskets or can I use my existing bits?

I really want these are they BMW parts if so is there a part no and I guess they would need painting

Any idea of total cost?

BMW Part from the aero package.

They will set you back around £410 from the dealers I phoned around. Sopers were slightly cheaper but not with delivery.

Painting and fitting I guess, £100-150, they come primed.

I think we need a master aero skirt thread, there's so many now and must cover all questions :poke:

Genuine BMW parts from the Z4 aero package. They come in primer.

I phoned around most recommended dealers and the price was the same £412 inc VAT, Sopers were cheaper, but if you need delivery then its same price. I guess budget £100-150 for painting, I'm unsure of what my skirts are costing as I'm also having my rear bumper repaired/painted for £250 total.

As it happens I got 10% off of these this morning and they are delivering to the body shop for me on Thursday, £371 in total :D

Terry - That's a good price but as you said to me the other day, they are on back order with bmminiparts.

They are back in stock for 48hrs delivery but states: UK Stock (48 hours) limited number in UK :D

Mine just took a month to come from bmminiparts even though the quote stated UK Stock (48 hours) limited number in UK
When I chased them up they said the last ones had been sold prior to them processing my order, and they were on back order from Germany
