Here's a link to a distributor of the fitted luggage for the e89 z4 I mentioned in my recent post. Prices are in GBP but curiously they add VAT at 19% which I must have missed.

They can't, that's illegal :?

19% is the current German rate, maybe they are getting confused.
 
It looks really nice, well worth that kind of cash as long as the bags don't fall apart. Still a euro-based site though, hence the 19%. Wonder how they deliver and if it's included in the £130?
 
As you say, must be a German firm. That's a little naughty having everything in stirling and a uk url. Similar to the far eastern ebay sellers claiming they are English.
 
The following is a quote from another Z forum. The pertinent bits are that they'd recommend a group purchase (albeit based on the high shipping costs to USA) and that they were prepared to offer forum members a 10% reduction. BTW They do say that the VAT is German Tax. In any case, it's included. Presumably we'd pay the pre-tax amount plus our VAT or the full German inclusive price and not the latter plus our VAT!

I doubt we could muster sufficient demand in the short term or that anyone has the the spare storage for a group buy but I'd be happy to be proved wrong.

Shipping one parcel costs about 120 € net…

If we organize a group buy with more than 20 sets, this would be less expensive.

Perhaps some of the BMW Z4 Roadster e85 or Z4 Coupe e86 drivers are also interested in our luggage?!? If so, the shipping costs will reduce with each set…

Furthermore we need one contact person of your forum, who will organize the group buy.

For calculating the exact shipping costs of one container, we need the address to where we should ship. The best would be someone living at the east cost of the USA.

Not sure that it is worth the effort. I find that using a few 'squashy' bags works really well and have had no difficulty using all of the space.

Agree. Like the bags but it seems a lot of nonsense to do a group buy. If they deliver to one person then that person has to arrange seperate delivery etc. Sounds like an excuse for sa trip to Germany AND The Ring.... :thumbsup:
