Fitted Dipped Beam HID replacements

Cheers Norman. I'll get the car up and have a look when I get a kit. I've done it on a TVR and an Elise, and it was ok. I may look at just removing the bumper...

Which TVR did you downgrade from to buy a Z4? :fuelfire:

I didn't. I've still got the TVR. I bought the Z4 to run as a regular car (shopping, getting about, whilst still having fun).

I've been running a tuned Pre-Cat Griffith (Stage 4 heads, custom manifolds and exhaust, fully mapped ignition, carbon trumpets, carbon plenum, carbon airbox, triple Jenvy throttle bodies, K&N custom induction) for about 10 years and it's not really suitable as an run about. She's getting on a bit (20 years) and needs some TLC this/next year. So I wanted something fun and reliable to use. Plus the gf can't/won't/isn't allowed to drive her.

I work from home so don't drive too much.

Usually I ride a motor bikes, but since moving in with the gf, she's not too keen on the bike in winter.

Done a few years back now, the wadding in the exhaust has sort of gone.

Nice sound!!

I went from a 1990 S2 3ltr Ford V6 known as Gerald especially on Pistonheads, it was a high days and holidays car but a combination of osteoarthritis and needing to keep cost down moved on to the Z as an everyday car but miss the character of the car very much

Norman, I think we spoke around 2003/4 when I was selling my Cooper Green TVR S3? I was very active on the S cicuit when I had one. I was at S Club Heaven 2&3.

I had the S3 with the one off JP straight through system, S style exit, but V8 sized pipes.

I didnt get Gerald until 2007 so I think we missed each other, never mind at least we have met up now.

Here's Gerald at Prescott Hill Climb 2010

I love the S Series cars, wish I still had one. Gerald sounds great on the hill climb!

I think I know you're username on PH. Obviously I am Wildfire on there (and have been since PH started).

Just finished fitting the HID kit from the OP, I'm very impressed with the overall quality of the kit for the price. I decided to take the bumper off and lights out, it took me about an hour and a half from start to finish. Cant wait for it to get dark now so I can go test them out.
