It doesn't work that easy (I obviously tried that on forehand before building the puller rig :lol: ).
For the Z4 there are large dust shields that sit in the way (see my previous post/picture where I mounted the puller on the flange, and it's also nicely visable on your picture with the opened diff). The diff you see in the video is a different diff (btw with that diff you still can align the gears and compensate the wear).
There is little or no room to get leverage without hitting the dust shields. If you bend them you'll risk hearing grinding noises for the rest of the cars life.
I'm not saying it can't be done in that way, but the video does not give a good representation.
Popping it in is easy though.
