Fitted a Leatherz Armrest today (Group Buy) (closed)

Taz x Imola red leather/black base
RustyZ4 ? Red Leather (TBC)/Silver base
Jimbo1958 ? Black Leather/Silver Base
KERMIT1970 Black Leather/Silver base
Macca. Dream Red leather/Silver Base
Richtea Black Leather/Silver base

I'm pretty certain it's the silver base I should be going for. I have black leather with brushed aluminium dash and centre console.

Any thoughts???

That is exactly what I have in mine, the silver base doesn't match the centre console trim so much, it's more about matching the door handles, it looks good. I think black base and black leather would look a little too....black. :)
 
Must just be me but its a big ugly box of an armrest that looks like you've shoved a shoe box between the seats :thumbsdown:

Someone should design something a little less bloated maybe.

I remember fitting one of these to a TT, and IMO its much more tasteful and less obstructive looking.

Just to clear up any confusion, the savings I am trying to generate come from the import/Parcelforce costs which Tim3906 will see come in at £24.10 on top of the cost of the armrest and shipping. Tim3906 what were you charged for shipping to UK?

Has anyone fitted this by any chance? Cup holder looks somewhat small so would like some feedback on this, also, if you have a cup in there does it interfere much with the gear change (I presume it is not usable as an arm rest when a cup is in there)?

Perhaps we could get this one too on the Group Buy?

$47 - Didn't realise te group buy was still on the cards - D'oh!!! :cry:
 
Hey Guys, I just did a few sums, if the Arm Rest is $100 and postage is $47, that's $147 in total, at today's exchange rate (roughly) that comes to around £95. The last price I saw quoted was £102 - doesn't sound like they are giving much of a discount for a group buy if you can order it separately at a cheaper or roughly equivalent price. It is very possible that I could have misunderstood though, please let me know.....

You forgot to include the £24.10 import tax, So that's £95 + £24.10 = £119.10 - £102 = £17.10 saving (I think)

not sure i am keen on that myself but i'm sure that could be added to the group buy, why not pm op
 
Taz x is right, we can add the armrest with the cup holder, but I think I read somewhere it was a bit rubbish as the armrest doesn't have any kind of latch to stop the top coming back down. I personally will be buying some door armrest pads to match the armrest.

I will close the group buy on Tuesday and place the order thereafter.
