Right, I'm new to all this aftermark wheel world so go easy recently purchased my first z4 e86 and absolutely love it!
I have a staggered set of 19" CSL reps I've just fitted..

Rear 9.5j on 255/35/19
Fronts 8.5j on 235/55/19 ET 35

From what I can tell it's on standard sport suspension but the drivers side front and rear is a few mm lower than the passenger side

Anyway the fronts are rubbing on the arch liners quite badly especially with a passenger in the car and especially on the drivers side. It's worth nothing my shocks are leaking a fair bit and definitely need replacing. To cut a long story short is there a better tyre combo to have on the fronts or will replacing with b4 shocks and suplex springs just get the ride height abit higher on the front to stop the rubbing?

Welcome to Coupe ownership Rob.

I'd start by renewing the springs and shocks because your wheel set up doesn't sound too aggressive, assuming you have 235/35 front tyres!

On my second 3.0Si Sport I had 8J x 18 ET29 wheels with 225/40 tyres on the front and didn't get any rubbing.

That combo will play havoc with the DSC..

The current tyre sizes are messed up , the wheels themselves should work with different rubber .

Often with the front end rub the rubbing is literally down to 2mm 3mm margin & take a closer look at the small panel on arch liner that gives access to headlight as these can be the area where rubbing occurs on lock .

For a start point RE tyre sizes on 19s you want ideally to be looking for a 35 front / 30 rear but you are already running a 30 front causing rub so definitely would not be upping that .

Rears i would go 265 /275 30 ; fronts you could try 225 30 19 which should give you 3mm more clearance .

You could also consider part worns circa 6mm & gain another couple of mm , the margins between rub or not can be that tight when you start adding bigger wheels with more aggressive offset on E85 E86.

I think I'll start with replacing the front suspension and then go for some 225/30 on the front.
If not the wheels will be up for sale soon

Yep I meant 235/35
Where's the best place to buy b4 shocks struggling to find the actual ones that say they'll fit! Also the suplex springs come up with 2 part numbers that say they're for cars with sport suspension
