First Z4 owner

Hey y'all. I just bought my first z4 3.0i SMG about 2 weeks ago and this weekend I'm taking my first deep dive into it. Got the car at an excellent price knowing it needs some work. Mostly cosmetic though. A leak in the exhaust and valve cover gasket will be replaced this weekend. But...it pulls strong and handles great. It lived 2 miles down a dirt road so the suspension bushings will be replaced too. Oh, and fix the seat belts too. lol.

But...no dents to the body, no rust, and firm feeling while driving it over the weekend for a few hours. It is a project car, but what a beautiful project car. Just....now the wife wants to drive around with the wind in her hair.

Welcome to the forum and Z ownership. But we do like to see picture(s) of all new owners cars. (sort of a unwritten forum rule). Post when you can and again welcome!

Welcome aboard.
Can I say how refreshing it is to see someone from over the pond showing that it does rain!
All we seem to get is photos of cars in sunny California and to be honest, it gets a bit annoying after a while. :D
Hope it soon dries up so your wife can let her hair blow.

Thanks! I drove the Z4M and LOVED the platform back in 06. Always wanted one and the price became right so jumped on it.

It does rain...but as my name says, this is Austin, aka Texas. Rained for 10 min and then stopped. We're averaging up to 37c a day this month, almost 38. ;)

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Great to hear the wife likes it - just so long as she doesn't want to drive it!

Hi and welcome to the forum…nice looking Zed (or is that a Zee)

We Brits can’t function in 37/38 degrees..unless it’s Fahrenheit.

If you really want to upset us, tell us how much you paid for the V-Power petrol

Excellent…. pictures, happiness, excitement… you’ll fit right in…

Welcome
