So I have the car and the keys! March 2012 28i Auto, Deep Sea Blue with Beige leather and black carpet. Only 600 miles as mentioned in a prior thread. 19" 326M wheels, Nav, Comfort & Connectivity Packages, through loading, Business audio. Sounds good, goes good, speed bumps fine so far, ride comfortable. Had half an hour with the top down this afternoon with a friend, in a light snow shower, great fun, my first convertible.

Two issues. Battery low warning even though the car had just come from Leicester to London for delivery. Has not been driven much, will the battery recover as I get some miles on it? ..anyway, not major, will see how it goes. Second issue IS annoying. The Plus Shift Paddle does not work (works about 1 time in 15). I have found that this is a known issue here

so hopefully an easy fix but still annoying on day one. Auto is fine, and the stick is fine in manual.

Congratulations it's a great looking car and nice spec. Welcome to the legendary BMW build quality
Last 4 cars were BMW 3 series so quite used to the marque!

Nice Z Jaunty, hope you get your little niggles sorted

Thanks sure they will be. Another big plus (not huge really, but it is great!) is I have DAB, so I can listen to BBC6 Music and Huey Morgan on Sunday afternoons :D .

Ooooh black carpet!

.....enjoy, lovely colour

Great looking car, very nice.

Battery should be fine - the trip from Leicester to London.... Was that on a transporter or did someone drive it? Clearly if it's the former then it would have done nothing for the battery!

No, it was driven hence surprise at low battery. But if not driven for a few months, and the roof put up and down a few times, I am sure that would not be great for the battery.

You must be excited!

I'm am getting tempted by an e89 myself now... Doesnt help that whenever the GF sees one goes thats the better version of your car :o

Love the spec with the deep sea blue and light interior... exactly what I would have got!

I will no doubt switch to an E89 at some point... probably next year, I'm having too much fun in the coupe at the moment though :driving:

I mentioned it to distinguish it from an all beige interior which I would not have wanted, like in this thread

Mine is beige leather seats and on the transmission tunnel passenger side and door panel inserts, alu trim with black carpet and matts  Like this

Emailed dealer the Friday I picked it up but no response. Anyway battery seems fine. On the Paddle shift I realised that Comfort, Sport and Sport+ were not engaging and showing in the instrument cluster either. Yesterday I had a play around on a drive and they seemed to kick in along with the Paddle shift. Maybe the lack of use in the last 12 months left a switch a bit "stuck" (as you can tell I am a technical whizz  ). Anyway cross fingers all good and I have 2 years warranty to keep an eye on it.
Ride firm but fine (better?) when compared to my E92 330 M on 18" run flats. Full post code search and iPod artwork on the iDrive! BMW Assist just enabled so will have a play with that soon.
