Lovely example! Welcome along. Maintenance is fairly simple - keep an eye on the rear springs and roof motor drains (and mirror glass can fall out) Generally strong cars if well maintained. :driving:  Happy Zedding.

Nice job on the pics. 3.0si at 28 is going to be a lot of fun. :D

Um, well let's see... go west and there's the Pennines; a bit further and there's this wee little place called the Lake District. You've got the Dales and the Moors below you and above is Northumbria. So just basically drive in any direction for an hour and you'll either drown or hit epic stuff.

Looks like a cracker!
The Z shares a lot of 3 series E46 parts and many jobs can be tackled by the enthusiast.
Loads of modding and local drives .............you live in a great area.
You just missed a local run btw! :driving:

Welcome Logancage
Congrats on your Z ,lovely looking 3l.

I'm sure it's going to give you hours of fun and you're right we have some fantastic driving roads around Durham ,Northumberland, and slightly further. You have just missed a great Hoon last Sunday see the write ups and pics in the events section of the website.
This was all organised by Paulgs1000 and his wife Stephanie ( hope they don't mind me mentioning them ), keep an eye out I'm sure another one will be happening soon . The members are all really nice people and speaking as someone who actually doesn't own a coveted Z I was welcomed and joined their hoon ,it was thoroughly enjoyable.

Hi and welcome to the forum
As others have said your your well placed for great roads, how about a blast to Hartside cafe and back for a bit of this -

Great picture Metal Licker! (And of course, my favourite road and the focus of our next run  )

What about some of this roof down action logancage . . . .just up the road from you

Lots of fun to be had in your new Zed - Welcome to the Forum. :D

We've got some brilliant roads in this area and if you take a look at the Meets/Events/Road Trips section of the Forum you'll see some of the runs ('hoon's) held up here. They are a friendly bunch (as Davegolfr mentioned) and all ages, so you should fit right in. It's a great way of adding to your Zed ownership experience. Get yourself to one of the runs and see what you think.
With regards to looking after your Zed, there are some excellent forum members with lots of experience. Have a look through the search option or just post up a question and you'll find this a very helpful forum. You'll find one of the most challenging jobs is keeping it clean after so much driving!

If you fancy travelling a bit farther afield there are some great runs held in Scotland and there's the National meet in the Lake District in July - all well worth the effort to get there.

I'm sure we'll meet up it the future

White van driver eh . . . .

:driving:

Great looking car. Black looks good when polished but it's hard keeping it clean trust me
See your another local there's a few of us about and always keen to get out :driving:

Welcome and get yerself on one of the local "hoons" we are friendly :driving: , enjoy the Zed and the roof down experience. :D

You've got to do Hartside but make certain you go over the top to Melmerby and back as well - sensational!

That photo was posted up as a laugh - we were out with a mate of mine who has an SLK 350 - was early April a couple of years ago - we did wonder if we'd get through on that road (North Pennines) and were worried about having to reverse back uphill  Great memories though

:driving:

Black Roadster with a whippy aerial - you must be a man of immense taste!

Hi and welcome.

Enjoy :driving:

So I guess I will be buying a stubby aerial then lol.. I'm looking into getting a wind deflector, mesh or perspex?

You must have had some balls on ya Paulgs 1000 to risk it in that much Snow!

Well I will be going to heartside on Saturday I think, need a good drive out, anyone is welcome.
