First year of the 3.0si problems?

Getting the 2005. Decided I liked dealing with the local carmax, and the dealer in PA never would send me actual pictures. He just kept referring to their website which only lists stock photos. Felt fishy. The 2005 is in Cali and is being shipped here. Carmax was actually really good to work with (surprisingly) and their "paperwork" fees are significantly less than the fees at a dealer. Besides, if the car gets here and its not right, I am not out anything and I can keep looking.

Best part - the 2005 is that cool dark silver color. Triple black is sweet, but I don't have the time or patience that Greg has for his baby. I wish.

I figure I can add an intake and maybe a chip and perhaps I'll get close to 3.0si power. There also seem to be more engine mods available for the 2005 3.0. I do like the facelifted look though.

I'll post pics up when I get the car.

Bought my August (I think) 2006 Si Coupe in Dec 2007 for a Christmas present.....to myself :D . I bought it with 2300 miles on it and it`s now done nearly 23,000 and all is great. I`m about halfway between services and the oil level is still on maximum on the electronic readout so these engines don`t use much oil.

The Si engine is great, more than enough power for road use especially and enough for some trackday fun also. It has plenty of torque. When cruising I`ve got the car in 6th gear by 40mph. In fact I tend to skip a gear sometimes because I find using 6 gears between 0 and 40 mph keeps ya busy.
