First week of Z4 ownership...

Well guys after 1 week of ownership, I thought id write a little review of the car so far.

Incase anyone didnt see the other thread, I bought a Sdrive23i M Sport on a 10 plate, in black with red leather.

Starting with things I like about it:
- The noise is awsome!
- Stereo seems good quality but cant handle full bass.
- Bluetooth phone seems very clear and I dont have to shout to talk to someone else.
- I love the looks of the thing, it looks stunning where ever it is.
- The M-Sport s/wheel feels just right, the right thickness and the weight of the steering is perfect.
- MPG is good for a car like this, but thats not what I bought it for.

Things I dont like:
- No bluetooth streeming for music, even though mine has connectivity pack.
- The jelous looks from other motorists (maybe that should be in the list above)
It does not stay clean for long, haha!

Overall - I love the bloody thing!

what phone do you have? - I can play music via the bluetooth...
 
My 4s works fine but it takes a while to get the right menu on the idrive.
On the phone you need to press the bottom right icon next to the play/fwd/rewind icons that then activates streaming?

I love my sapphire black and with a little care and attention I don't find it difficult to keep clean - 40 mins once a week and it looks bloody amazing!

Hi mate, I know the icon you mean as had BT streaming on my old E46 headunit - except it wont appear on my phone in the Z4 no matter what I do.

I dont have iDrive on my car so maybe thats why? Although ive got BT for phone calls ect???
 
I have a 2010 23i M Sport in white too, welcome!! :)

Re the BT streaming, I don't have idrive & don't believe you can stream with the standard unit at least. U need to buy a 'y-adapter' that plugs in under the armrest.

Either way, I find this way better than BT as you have full search functionality from the head unit plus charging...

Just had my Z4 for a couple of weeks now. Bought it from Ocean BMW at Penryn & they have been brilliant. I found a couple of little things that were not quite perfect & they have replaced the bits without any grumble. They also upgraded the security system. Have to say every time I drive it I have a big grin on my face. Just love everything about it, took my mate out in it from school days & a week later he's bought one!
 
Congrats on the purchase and glad you are enjoying yours. Not surprised, the Z4 is a fantastic looking machine but to drive one os something else. Enjoy!
